Brunel Record Club was founded by third-year music students Wil Pritchard and Louie Marlow back in the academic year of 2016/2017 and it has since been a massive success. Each week they get together on a Thursday evening to discuss and listen to an album of the week and recently they have has guest speakers do talks within these sessions – read on to hear more about it! The next one is Thursday the 14th of March in Room 014 in the Lecture Building at7pm – not one to miss!
The second guest talk comes from UK composer and musician Colin Riley. He will be talking about one of his favourite albums from the ’70s. As well as being Senior Lecturer at Brunel University he is also a mentor for the Making Music’s Adopt A Composer Scheme. He runs his own label Squeaky Kate and writes a regular blog about composing called Riley Notes.
