Ensemble Entropy, the London based ensemble led by composer, sax player and Brunel PhD student, Matt London, along with Brunel alumnus Georgia Cooke and other great performers and composers, was recently shortlisted for a 2018 BASCA British Composer Award in the Jazz Composition for Large Ensemble Category.
Always busy pushing musical limits with unique combinations of free improvisation, live electronics and variable configurations, they have a couple of interesting gigs coming up in April at Listen! in Cambridge and then at the legendary Café OTO in Dalston, London. As part of the funding exercise for these events, they have included a KickStarter campaign as part of their Arts Council bid. Follow the link below to become a pal or a patron! Ah, one last thing, these gigs will be featuring the one and only, the unique, inimitable vocalist extraordinaire, Loré Lixenberg. I wasn’t kidding about pushing musical limits… gigs not to miss this year.
