The repertoire for one of the earliest electronic music instruments, the onde Martenot, has been growing thanks to the commissioning and performances of Paris based ondiste, Nadia Ratsimandresy. As part of a UK/France collaboration between Why Note Festival in Dijon and Brunel University London with support from the Franco-British Diaphonique Foundation, she will be giving a workshop for composers, including Carl Faia with new pieces for the instrument and works by student composers, including a new piece by Matthew Collins. She will also discuss new approaches to the instrument and present the works she will be performing for the new Hillingdon Music Festival #Himf this February 15 and 16. Details in the flyer below.
