Last May, garden designer Peter Eustance of Symphonic Gardens tapped our second year sonic arts students led by Carl Faia and Colin Riley and PhD student Ardeshir Gourtani to develop the sonic aspect of his prize winning Chelsea Garden exhibit. The work was commissioned by the Papworth Trust and strongly supported through a privileged association with Dame Evelyn Glennie. We’ll be talking more about this project, and its future development, in the weeks to come. For now, here is an interview with Peter featured in Arts and Gardens in which he talks about working with Brunel and the sonic arts students, as well as his thoughts on music and landscape.
