The JIM (Journées d’Informatique Musicale) or, in English, Computer Music Days, is a yearly event for official geeks held in a different (more or less francophone) institute. That said, they do send out a call for papers and presentations in English. As the theme is very much in the air, I thought I would remind you all that the current call for submissions has been postponed to the 17th of February. You can check out the different themes for this year, especially gesture, virtuosities and new medias (note the use of the plural for virtuosity…), by following any of the links below. I’ve copied the basic information in English. You can click the logo above to go to the official JIM website and host for this year. In any case, you really should check out the video, a great example of how to make even the most geeky activities look cool… at least for us geeks!
This year’s edition of the “Journées d’Informatique Musicale” will be held May 9, 2012 – May 11, 2012, at the Numediart Institute for Technologies in Digital Arts, University of Mons, Belgium. You may find information about the themes of the conference on our website: JIM.
You will find the call for papers and all the needed information, like Word and TeX templates here -> communications.
The EasyChair submission website can be accessed directly here -> Easy.
