On the road with Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour

You may remember the concert Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour organized last year at Brunel or maybe you’ve seen him performing or you’ve heard some of his music performed. He is the busy musician…

Once again, he is organizing concerts and for the past two months has been working with a group of UG students composing miniatures for solo piano. This project will result in a final workshop where everyone is welcome.

Dec. 14th, 2012 – GB12, 1-3pm
Guest Pianist: Mariko North
Honoured guest: Prof. Christopher Fox
Composers: Joshua Trotter, Nathan Workman, Eleanor Cully, James Le Maitre, Charlotte Botterill, Rachel Gerrard, Cameron Graham, Harry Atlee.

Also (we did say busy didn’t we?), he has recently been honored in the New York Counterpoint Competition for his work PENDAR. Click the mountains for more details…
